Back to the Norm

Ah, no frustrated political post today.

I made a pledge to myself that I would not indulge in any news today for the sake of my sanity.

And though I came nowhere near upholding this pledge, I am going to exhibit some self restraint today.

'Cause I got a bigger problem.

Ladybugs.

Yup.

I got 'em.

And not the pretty friendly red ones.

Those yucky yellow ones that like to hide in the lamp shade.

And my second least favorite?

Spiders.

ALL THE FUCK OVER.

I wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat convinced that the spiders and ladybugs are crawling all over me, burrowing in my ears and eating my brains.

So yeah.

Bugs.

And the fact that I have eaten my body weight in Jolly Ranchers and fudgicles.

And the trumpet man is still playing.

Still.

Um, I got new lamps for my dining room today? And they look awesome?

Got no other response to ladybugs, spiders, trumpets and jolly ranchers. :(

Plus, after-hours work-related shitstorm has my brain rendered incapable of coherent thought.

YUK!! You need to vacuum your room really well and then shut the door and cram a towel under it. And then you sleep with the sheet over your head. That's what I would do.

also - a well tossed brick in trumpet man's direction could help.

when i lived in champaign, every summer i was totally inundated with those stupid ladybug lookalikes. it was ridiculous. illinois is apparently just full of bugs! it's an outright infestation!

I don't know of the lady bug issues you speak about! We have slugs, not in the house however, but really gross big slugs.... ever heard of the banana slug, wrong, it is seriously wrong!

Go ahead indulge yourself and google banana slugs just to get a good image.

Now you have something new to dream about!

I am such a good friend.

Poor, poor Megan...at least you have Cheese to take care of the trumpet guy (when he gets back). :)

Call the exterminator...fast!

I love fudgesicles.

Maybe the spiders will eat the ladybugs....

Life in paradise is buggy, unfortunately. Must be the warm climate...

Eating your weight in jolly ranchers would be like a thousand jolly ranchers, right? Are you eating 3 at a time?

To go along with what Brent said. . .

Maybe the spiders will eat the ladybugs and the ladybugs will eat the trumpet man. HAHA

Flatman, who is the exterminator for, the bugs or annoying trumpet man.

Hang in there. This too shall pass.

I will trade you your lady bugs for my millipeeds. I keep my vaccume cleaner plugged in so all I have to do is suck them off the floor. They truely disgust me.

Looking at your new site links on the side, I wanted to give an extra shout out for the stuffwhitepeoplelike.com site. I've blown many hours on that site.

And most of it is eerily true.

It isn't a lady bug issue...what you have are box elders...they are nasty..love curtains, carpeting and lampshades..elimination is difficult...I wish you luck!! missed ya at dinner on friday

Ok Meg
The bug thing....C'mon.
You don't like them, but you will go to someone who tells you to drop your pants, put your legs up in stirrups, and waxes the hell out of the nether region......and you're worried about bugs?

Better to have lady bugs than crickets. For some reason last year this area was over run with crickets.
